Configure BIOS settings

Configuring BIOS settings for reinstallation of Windows.

Enter your bios

  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup. This is typically done by pressing a key like F2, F10, or Del during startup.

BEFORE DO IT: ENABLE CORE ISOLATION / HVCI (WINDOWS DEFENDER — SECURITY DEVICE)

Configure settings

  1. Navigate to the Security or Boot section (exact names may vary).

  2. Find Secure Boot and enable it (clear keys and install factory keys)

    • If you don't see Secure Boot options, look for OS Type and set it to UEFI.

  3. Locate TPM (Trusted Platform Module) or Trusted Computing settings and enable them.

  4. Enable Virtualization

    • Advanced — CPU configuration (vt-d/vt-x/SVM/VMX)


Disable WIFI, Bluetooth & Network devices

Confirm your hardware:

Before proceeding, ensure your computer has built-in WiFi and/or Bluetooth else skip this step!

If you're using external USB dongle or PCIE Network card you need to remove them.

They are not spoof-able must be fully unplugged or replaced!

Locate wireless settings in BIOS:

Navigate through BIOS menus to find settings related to peripherals, wireless, or onboard devices. This might be under headings like:

  • "Advanced"

  • "Onboard Devices Configuration"

  • "Integrated Peripherals"

  • "Wireless"

Disable WiFi and Bluetooth:

  • Look for options labeled "Wireless LAN" or "WiFi" and "Bluetooth" or "WIFI Controller".

  • Change their status to "Disabled" or toggle them off.

If you can't disable on bios, use this:

  • After Running This As Admin Restart PC

Alternative if BIOS options aren't available:

Skip this step for now you can use a tool after the reinstalling of Windows to permanently disable the adapter(s).


Save changes

Save your changes and exit BIOS (usually F10 or a designated "Save and Exit" option).
